| MEDITATION , GENTLE YOGA , LECTURE , GROUP FORMAT
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) is an 8 week course where you will learn to wake up to your life, as it is, and to guide yourself to more ease, well-being and happiness. It is ideally suited for those dealing with chronic illness, pain, stress, anxiety or insomnia. You will learn meditation, experience the benefits of gentle stretching (yoga) and gain self-awareness. Participants meet weekly for 2.5 hours plus one 6 hour session for a total of 26 hours of instruction. (more info)
Group Meditation
4:45 PM - 5:15 PM, Wednesdays, Garden Level room #14-Providence Center for Faith and Healing, Sacred Heart Hospital Campus. This sitting time is free and open to the public.
Please enter quietly and comfortably take your seat on a chair, couch or your own cushion on the floor. The usual format consists of 30 minutes of silence; it may also include guided mindfulness meditation, various readings and recordings as well as an occasional walking meditation in the garden. An optional 15 minutes of discussion often follows the sitting time. The bells will ring at 4:45 and 5:15, please respect this time of stillness by arriving and leaving in silence.

Retreats/Sit Camps
These overnight retreats are scheduled through out the year at various locations. Join Carey and other health-care professionals for a weekend of beautiful outdoor meanderings and focused meditation.
Graduate Support Groups
8 weekly sessions of 2 hours, with a group of up to 10 people that want to continue to be supported as they explore mindfulness meditation. Carey will lead the group with exercises designed to open and develop a deeper awareness of themselves and their interactions with others.
Large Group Presentations
One hour mindfulness presentation- Carey Chilton Charyk offers “A Taste of Mindfulness” experiential explanation to groups about the benefits of meditation.
